update: as of today(jul 27), I am off google+. Haven’t heard/read anything redeeming, and it’s only getting worse. I hope that none of my furrends get hurt by this. – Z

After reading much about google’s unprofressional roll-out of their not-even-in-beta social media site, google+, i’d like to advise all my furrends to be careful.

I had hoped that they would be smarter than Facebook, and allow the anipal community to have access to the same kinds of services. There are so many in the anipal community that really need support and love, and it would be nice for that to flourish, not only on Twitter, but in other places as well.(We’ve all heard the horror stories of how teddies and pets aren’t welcome on Facebook! grr!)

From what I’ve read, it sounds like they will be allowing non-real-names, but the WAY which they have been handling this issue has been awful.
I’ll stay on google+ for now, (just to see how they continue to handle this), but with a fraction of the enthusiasm I did before.

***UPDATE!! – Google+ seemed like a great idea, but they have been doing nasty things like deleting accounts without any warning. I would advise all my furrends to tread cautiously if you join. – Zack
